Ok, once itis all put together its nice. You cant use power tools to put it together. It takes forever and my hand feels like it is going to fall off. I followed the directions and the top two shelves on either side seem as if the holes drilled for the pegs for the shelves are not exactly level with each other..... Not terribly noticeable at a glance but since I put it together I noticed. It easily took me three hours alone to put it together. It is particle board hence why the no use of power tools. I tried and it made me start to rethink all of my life decision up to that very moment. Plan for a good chunk of time for assembly if you are alone. This was also the second piece of furniture of the night after work that I decided to put together so that may be why it took me so long. It is pretty esthetically.
The entertainment center is overall a great quality. Assembly was difficult due to poor instructions and diagrams, so pay attention to details! The pictures do show orientation of components however they can be musleading. The sliding doors work great. There are magnets inside that help lock them in center or edge so.they do notdrift. This unit is particle board/composite, however it is pretty durable. The panels are very thick and we will designed. Upon delivery, I did notice the base had a crack. I do not believe this is a defective in quality, but poor shipper treatment. The packaging was well packages from manufacterer so that is not an issue. Due to it is weight I suggest inspecting the box for damage upon arrival, and having a second hand to move it!
This is a great entertainment center! We love the light gray color of it and how big it is. It was fairly easy to put together but pretty time consuming. The biggest pain I had putting it together was the back board, one of the final things to put on. The back part of the center doesn’t have any pre-drilled holes, so I had to hammer a nail part way in before being able to place the screws in. We have a two-year-old boy who is very rough and loves to play with the doors, and they have held up great so far! Overall, this is a beautiful and sturdy entertainment center. Definitely worth the money!
