I love my tv stand, however, I am using it to hold smaller electronics such as an xbox, controller etc. I had the tv mounted and this stand looks perfect underneath it. It does sit low to the ground even with the legs attached so if you are looking for height, this is not it. It is perfect for a game room or smaller living space if you are trying to steer clear of bulkiness.
The only reason I gave it four stars is because we had to drill more cord holes in the back; it comes with several cord holes but we have a LOT of cords due to the many components we have. We also had to “cut” more of the backing from the bottom middle shelf to accommodate our huge Onkyo receiver (the Onkyo is about 11 inches front to back + cords behind it). This is a pic with a 55” TV. I really love the look and sturdiness. I also like how the bottom is fully closed (it sits flush to the floor, no openings for dust, etc. to get underneath the unit). It came with instructions and took about an hour with two people assembling. Easy to follow instructions. The longest part of the assembly for us was the transferring of all our components and the sorting of cords. The barn doors mount and slide perfectly.
As a parent of little people, we know better than to buy expensive furniture. We bought this to use as a tv stand. When it was all put together I was so taken aback at how sturdy and heavy this piece of inexpensive furniture was. The design, of course, is not actual wood texture, but a piece of laminate over particle board. And although I was skeptical, it doesn’t look super cheap or super fake like I thought it might be for the price it was. Disclaimer: does not withstand moisture. Haha one of my little people set juice on it and spilled and now there is a raised bubble, warped spot. But like I said, we know better than to buy expensive furniture with little people around
