I opted to just throw them out, and I still think it looks fine. The screws are on the inside of the shelves, so it is dark in there and they are hard to see anyway,

It has the appearance of wood and looks decent enough, but when you touch it you can tell it is a cheaper material. This probably seems petty considering the price, but I just wanted other people to be aware. It seems sturdy so far, but I am not sure how well it will hold up to normal wear and tear because I just got it.,
